What is Mustache Fest

Mustache Fest is a celebration of mustaches and original music. Do those two really go together? You’re damn right they do!

In 2006, we had the guts to ask a question: what would happen if you combined a celebration of the best facial hair invention ever, the mustache, with some great original music? The answer was undoubtedly Mustache Fest and for the next three years we had a blast growing wild staches while listening to great bands from Chicagoland, St. Louis, Minneapolis, and many other locations.

So how does Mustache Fest work? It’s simple. You grow a stache, or obtain a fake, and come ready to celebrate the object that turned Tom Selleck into Magnum P.I.; the growth that made Mike Ditka Da’ Coach; and the fur that took Geraldo Rivera into Al Capone’s vault.

And so it begins again. After a one year hiatus, Mustache Fest returns for a fourth installment on Oct. 2, 2010 at Chicago Street Pub in Joliet, Ill.
